Srinagar, Mar 12 (KNC): The Block Development Officer (BDO) Narbal has sought police assistance from the Station House Officer of Police Station Magam for carrying out the seizure and removal of an alleged illegal construction raised on Panchayat land at Kanihama.
According to an official communication, a copy of which lies with news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, the earlier action scheduled for January could not be executed as the police had requested a fresh date due to engagement with duties related to the Republic Day celebrations on January 26.
The authorities have now fixed March 10 at 12 noon for conducting the on-spot action. The BDO has requested the police to deploy adequate personnel to ensure the smooth and peaceful execution of the seizure and removal proceedings and to prevent any untoward incident or breach of peace. (KNC)
