Srinagar, Nov 2 (KNC): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Sunday completed the Kashmir Half Marathon as part of the grand Kashmir Marathon 2.0 event held in Srinagar.
In a post on X, CM Omar Abdullah, as per news agency Kashmir News Corner (KNC), wrote, “Just completed the Kashmir Half Marathon. I didn’t set a personal best but I did improve on my effort last year.”
Congratulating all participants, the Chief Minister wrote, “Congratulations to all the runners who completed the full marathon and the half marathon. Well done. #KashmirMarathon.”
Earlier in the day, CM Omar Abdullah and Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty jointly flagged off the Kashmir Marathon 2.0, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 1,500 runners across various states and Union Territories, along with 77 international athletes from different countries.
The event, organised by the Department of Tourism, Kashmir, in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council, highlighted Kashmir’s growing prominence as a hub for sports, tourism, and peace-building initiatives. (KNC)
