Kupwara, Nov 8 (KNC): Security forces on Saturday neutralised two terrorists after foiling an infiltration attempt in the Keran sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district while recovering arms and Ammunition from their possession.
Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, that the firefight erupted after troops intercepted an infiltration bid along the Line of Control, leading to a brief exchange of fire in which two infiltrators were eliminated.
Sources said the bodies of both slain terrorists were later recovered from the general area Pimple, along with a significant cache of weapons and war-like stores.
The recoveries include, M4 rifle (01), M4 magazines (02), M4 rounds (70), AK-47 rifle (01), AK-47 magazines (03), Glock pistols (02), Glock magazines (02), Glock rounds (40), Chinese hand grenades (03), pouches (02), along with Pakistani cigarette packets, Pakistani medicines and dry fruits.
Meanwhile, earlier, in a post on X, Chinar Corps of the Indian Army, as per KNC, wrote: “OP PIMPLE, Keran, Kupwara, Two terrorists have been neutralised by the security forces in the ongoing operation. Search of the area in progress.” (KNC)
