Orders probe into incident, directs DGP J&K to enquire throngly, directs officials to ensure tight security to protectees

Srinagar, Mar 12 (KNC): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday spoke to National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah following the firing incident targeting him and assured that a thorough investigation would be carried out into the matter.
Sources told news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, the Lieutenant Governor directed Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat to leave no stone unturned in getting to the bottom of the incident and to ensure swift action.
Senior officials have also been strictly instructed to ensure airtight security arrangements for all protectees, with directions issued to maintain heightened vigilance to prevent such incidents in the future, sources added. (KNC)
