Shopian, Sep 30 (KNC): The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday attached the property of a suspected terror associate in the Maldeera area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
A senior police officer confirmed to news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC that the property belongs to Tariq Ahmad Mir, who has been identified as a hard-core terror associate allegedly involved in aiding terrorist activities. The attachment was carried out under provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
The action is part of NIA’s ongoing crackdown on terror networks and their financial infrastructure in the region. Further investigation into the case is underway, the officer added. (KNC)
