Srinagar, Oct 23 (KNC): A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a speeding car in the Chersoo area of South Kashmir Pulwama district.
Officals told news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC that an unknown Swift car bearing registration number JK02DN-2960 hit a pedestrian near a petrol pump at Chersoo, Awantipora, leaving him critically injured.
The injured person, identified as Ghulam Mohammad Bhat alias Gul Matoo, son of Wali Mohammad and resident of Chersoo, was immediately shifted to PHC Awantipora, where doctors declared him dead on arrival, they said.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident, and further details are being ascertained. (KNC)
