Srinagar, Oct 29 (KNC): A Sikh delegation, led by S. Harjinder Singh Dhami, President, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), Sri Amritsar Sahib, and Shriman Mahant Manjeet Singh, called on Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha today.
The delegation included S. Ajit Singh, Chairman, All J&K Sikh Coordination Committee; Bhai Harbhinder Singh, Incharge, SGPC Sikh Mission J&K; Bhai Jagtar Singh, Coordinator/Advisor, SGPC Dharam Parchar Committee; along with SGPC Executive Members, office bearers, and members of various Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committees.
During the meeting, they discussed the preparations for the upcoming Nagar Kirtan, scheduled to commence from Gurdwara Mattan Sahib on November 15, 2025, as part of the observance of the 350th Martyrdom Day of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
The delegation also held discussions with the Lieutenant Governor on measures to promote the Punjabi language across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.—(KNC)
